Côte d'Azur

"... on the left we have Sir Elton John's Villa, and if you direct your attention to the right, you will see Tina Turner's beautiful mansion".
Yes, the French Riviera serves as a vacation getaway to some of the fiercest celebrities,
and who can blame them?
The south of France is gorgeous!

We started out our day in Nice,
the biggest city on the French Riviera.
We wandered through the fresh-food markets and relaxed on the beach,
and even though it started raining,
we still had a great time checking out the architecture built around the tiny curved streets.

After a couple of hours,
we boarded the bus that drove us to the medieval village of Èze,
often described as the "eagle's nest" because of its location overlooking a high cliff above the Mediterranean.
As you can imagine, the views from up there are beautiful.
The ancient castles seem to be floating in the clouds,
and the cobblestone streets are built like mazes that never end.

The French Riviera is absolutely stunning,
and I sure wouldn't mind purchasing a summer home there some time in the future...
