In Love with the City of Lights

paris1
I know this may sound like I'm cheating, but I mean, who's NOT in love with Paris?
The city of lights was our first stop during the honeymoon, and we couldn't have picked a more romantic way to celebrate the beginning of our marriage.
I'm sure you've heard this like a bazillion times before, but if you've never been to Paris,
you have to go, and you have to go in autumn.
The climate during October is seriously perfect for endless wandering around this beautiful city.
Do you need proof?
Well here ya go:

My Definition of a Perfect Day

My wedding was perfect. That's right, I said it. Absolutely perfect. Sounds a little egotistical right? Well I can't help it. I have spent the last year of my life hearing the most unimaginable wedding horror stories out there - I mean one bride's reception hall actually got struck by lightning the day of her wedding! Crazy right? So when my big day finally came I was expecting all sorts of things to go wrong... rain, pimples, wrong flowers, missing vendors.. you name it, I was ready. But to my surprise, things started falling into place one by one, and at the end of the day, when my new husband and I lay our heads down on the oh-so-soft pillows at the Grant Hotel, we couldn't help but giggle at our luck. The day went off without a single glitch, and because of that, I'll always remember my wedding as nothing less than perfect.

P.S. I do have to mention that perfection comes at a price. Don't be fooled to think that we spent a ton of money on our wedding, because we didn't. We did however put a lot of time into research and planning to ensure that our special day went off without a hitch. What's the secret, you ask? A dream-team of wedding vendors! So here's to our amazing planner - Sheila "Energizer Bunny" Kanoya, a wonderful friend and an even more awesome DJ - Justin Kanoya, a rad wedding photographer - Bobby Earle, and a super sweet videographer - Luke McCain. Thank you all SO much. Xoxo!

East Coast vs. West Coast

So before I got married I decided to have not one, but two very fabulous bachelorette parties. I completely understand if this sounds just a tad bit obnoxious, but hey, it's my wedding and I could party if I want to... he he. The truth is.. I originally was only supposed to have one party, but since not all of my dear girl friends could make it out to NYC, we decided to have a low key pre-wedding dinner in my lovely hometown of San Diego. I chuckle as I type this because I should have known that a night out with my girls could never be just "low key".

We started off the night with a few cocktails at Lei Lounge. This place is perfect for a girly get together! Their cabanas are adorable, and their food is mighty delicious too.

My gorgeous friends! I'm wearing an F21 lbd.

Sure enough, after indulging in a few cocktails too many, my girls and I were not ready to head back home. Naturally, going dancing was the only other option, so off we stumbled (fine, I was the only one doing the stumbling) to the Se Hotel's Siren Pool & Uber Lounge. Now take a close look at the next picture and tell me how amazingly refreshing that pool looks...

Super refreshing, right?!? I thought so too, which is exactly why I decided to jump in, fully clothed, and pull all my friends in with me. If you don't believe me, I have pictures to prove it, but I think I've shared enough secrets from my last weekend as a single lady, and maybe I should just keep that one for myself to look back on and think about how much fun I had, living it up in San Diego ;)

Where do I begin?

Aaaah! I know. It's been... forever. A lot has happened in the past month, preventing any attempt to post even a one sentence blog. So where do I begin? Well... in the past month I had not one, but two fabulous bachelorette parties, got married to the most amazing man in the whole world, and enjoyed myself a spectacular two-week honeymoon all over Europe. I told you it was a lot.

But not to worry, because now I'm back. And since there's no longer a huge wedding to plan, I can devote all my extra time and attention to you, dear blog readers! Are you as excited as me? Sure hope so..

I'll start off by telling you a little bit about my first bachelorette party. Now I know that whatever happens at a bachelorette party should not be told, ESPECIALLY told through a blog, but we went to New York! How can I not share a few details... right? Alright, I'll make it brief, and instead of spilling all the beans, I'll just share a couple of photos...

Waiting to Exhale

Soooo sorry I haven't been posting at all lately! Life's been kind of hectic, and now that my wedding is less than three weeks away, I swear, I'm just waiting to exhale. Jetting off to New York this weekend for my bachelorette party, so I'm sure I'll have some fabulous pictures to share when I get back. San Diego, I swear I'm still in love with you. For now, I'm just playing this amazing song over and over and over again. Be back soon... enjoy!

Hotter than a Motha

Only a masochist like myself would ever leave San Diego's gorgeous weather for the hotter than hell surroundings of Palm Springs. However, when times are rough, the only thing that sounds better than a perfect 79 degree climate is a weekend getaway with the girls. So, fedoras in hand, we headed out to the desert.

When vacationing in Palm Springs, there's really not a more fabulous place to stay than the Parker hotel. Designed by Jonathan Adler, this chic boutique hotel is just the place to make you forget the fact that it may just be 119 degrees outside.

Oh and did I mention this place has two full restaurants? The food at Norma's was to die for. After a full night of partying, my friends and I thought we deserved to indulge, so in came the Chunks of Lobster Swimming in Cheesy Macaroni, Cheeseburger, Potato Pancakes, and the Rock Lobster and Mango Salad, just for good measure.

As if you even had to ask, don't worry, it was all delicious, and it was all devoured.
