Craft

Last week I was invited to grab a slice at Craft Pizza,
a new concept that recently opened in UTC

Pause.

Let's talk about how that mall has been revamped in the past few years.
All of a sudden it is very shi shi shi shi shi.. right?
Or have I been living under a rock?
I used to literally spend every day of my life at UTC, circa 2003-2006,
back when it used to be THE hangout spot in high school,
as well my means to make money, via my part time job at Abercrombie
Oh yeah, taking it way back.
Good ol' college retail jobs, where you spend more money than you actually make,
so what's the point?
Whatever.

Back to Craft.
The La Jolla location is the company's first outpost,
delivering a more delicious alternative than the typical mall food court suspects.
So what's so different about it, right?
Well first of all, let's talk about the pizza.
There are the traditional favorites like margherita and pepperoni,
but chef Chad White also offers novelty items like the Bianca (tried it, loved it) and the truffle pizza.
Pies using organic, farm-fresh ingredients really take the guilt out of eating pizza for lunch.
The crust is really thin, a personal preference of mine, making this a true "feel good pizza".
Get it by the slice, or order a whole pie on your way out and you're set with a delicious meal.

Pair it with a salad and a Suja juice to toss in additional nutrients,
but don't be afraid to sneak in a Cravory cookie too.
Aaaaaaaaand GO!

Yes, I just went to UTC last month for the first time in probably over a year and was blown away! It's like a totally different mall.
