Côte d'Azur

"... on the left we have Sir Elton John's Villa, and if you direct your attention to the right, you will see Tina Turner's beautiful mansion".
Yes, the French Riviera serves as a vacation getaway to some of the fiercest celebrities,
and who can blame them?
The south of France is gorgeous!

We started out our day in Nice,
the biggest city on the French Riviera.
We wandered through the fresh-food markets and relaxed on the beach,
and even though it started raining,
we still had a great time checking out the architecture built around the tiny curved streets.

After a couple of hours,
we boarded the bus that drove us to the medieval village of Èze,
often described as the "eagle's nest" because of its location overlooking a high cliff above the Mediterranean.
As you can imagine, the views from up there are beautiful.
The ancient castles seem to be floating in the clouds,
and the cobblestone streets are built like mazes that never end.

The French Riviera is absolutely stunning,
and I sure wouldn't mind purchasing a summer home there some time in the future...

Wingardium Leviosa

If you've known me for a while, you probably already know that I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. Before Edward ever entered the picture, Mr. Potter captivated the hearts of millions, and therefore will forever remain my number one man. With this being said, you can probably imagine my level of excitement, because today is the day when the first installment of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows finally comes out!! Best believe that I, along with all the other loyal "Pott-Heads", will be camping out prior to the midnight premiere tonight. Warm blankets, hot chocolate, Hogwarts trivia.. I wouldn't miss it for the world! It's a bittersweet feeling really, just as it was when I finished the last page of the book... the anticipation of finding out what happened in the end.. yet knowing that there's nothing more to look forward to.

On a brighter note, can we all focus on the amazingness that little Hermione Granger has grown into? It's a little ironic, don't you think? The actress who plays a character that became famous for her unruly hair, is finishing up the final installment of the series with the cutest pixie cut I've seen in a long time. I guess they all have to grow up sometime.. sigh.

In Love with the City of Lights

paris1
I know this may sound like I'm cheating, but I mean, who's NOT in love with Paris?
The city of lights was our first stop during the honeymoon, and we couldn't have picked a more romantic way to celebrate the beginning of our marriage.
I'm sure you've heard this like a bazillion times before, but if you've never been to Paris,
you have to go, and you have to go in autumn.
The climate during October is seriously perfect for endless wandering around this beautiful city.
Do you need proof?
Well here ya go:
