Craft

Last week I was invited to grab a slice at Craft Pizza,
a new concept that recently opened in UTC

Pause.

Let's talk about how that mall has been revamped in the past few years.
All of a sudden it is very shi shi shi shi shi.. right?
Or have I been living under a rock?
I used to literally spend every day of my life at UTC, circa 2003-2006,
back when it used to be THE hangout spot in high school,
as well my means to make money, via my part time job at Abercrombie
Oh yeah, taking it way back.
Good ol' college retail jobs, where you spend more money than you actually make,
so what's the point?
Whatever.

Back to Craft.
The La Jolla location is the company's first outpost,
delivering a more delicious alternative than the typical mall food court suspects.
So what's so different about it, right?
Well first of all, let's talk about the pizza.
There are the traditional favorites like margherita and pepperoni,
but chef Chad White also offers novelty items like the Bianca (tried it, loved it) and the truffle pizza.
Pies using organic, farm-fresh ingredients really take the guilt out of eating pizza for lunch.
The crust is really thin, a personal preference of mine, making this a true "feel good pizza".
Get it by the slice, or order a whole pie on your way out and you're set with a delicious meal.

Pair it with a salad and a Suja juice to toss in additional nutrients,
but don't be afraid to sneak in a Cravory cookie too.
Aaaaaaaaand GO!

In Love With..

I make lists all day, every day,
so I figured, why not compile a few things that I'm currently in love with and share it with ya'll?
Going to attempt to make this a weekly occurrence... let's see how this goes.

-a little too excited about an upcoming girls getaway to Hollywood with my bestie this weekend. Staying here and eating here. Can. Not. Wait. till Saturday.

-celebrating St. Patty's day at Bailiwick again.

-speaking of which... St. Patty's falls on a Monday this year, and I'm totes going out.
Anyone else guiltily obsessed with that #selfie song?
"Who goes out on Mondays? ... That is so ratchet"

-oh the things girlfriends say to each other.. and do together

Laguna is for Lovers

Did anyone else watch Laguna Beach when you were younger?
And then The Hills? And The City?
Or no?
I hope I didn't just lower your opinion of myself.

Anyway. Let's talk about Laguna.
It's about 1.5 hours away from San Diego,
and makes for a perfect romantic getaway.
The husband and I decided to spend a few blissful days by the beach there for our anniversary last year.
Waking up and walking down to the beach really helps take a load off..
it was such a relaxing trip!
We stayed at the La Casa del Camino Hotel while we were there.
I highly recommend it!
The hotel is just steps away from the ocean,
has a great restaurant on the main floor, and a killer rooftop lounge.
Brunch on the rooftop overlooking the beach is my idea of paradise!
You can't beat the view!
The husband gave me my first Celine bag for our anniversary,
(3 years modern gift = leather)
and I had a good time breaking her in that weekend.
View from our room... told you it was only steps away!
Amazing Lamb Chop Salad at the Watermarc.
LOVED this place.
Think I'm itching for another getaway!

The Cravory

Some of you may laugh at me,
but the fact that it's been raining all weekend makes me insanely happy.
It finally feels a little bit like winter in San Diego!

The chilly temperatures and the sound of falling drops outside make me want to indulge in some guilty pleasures..
spending all day cuddling by the fire and piling on the comfort food.
I have been turning it UP in the kitchen recently,
so much so,
that it leaves no energy to spend on preparing dessert.
So what's a girl to do when a sweet craving won't let her sleep?
Bring in the cookies from The Cravory!

A few months ago I received a goodie package stocked full of the most amazing flavored cookies.
Almond Joy, Pumpkin S'mores, Chocolate Truffle, and many more.
Well.. those cookies are long gone,
but I find myself going back for more whenever that sweet tooth craving hits.
They're just too good to pass up!
I know you want some too!
The cookies are baked to order, and could be shipped to your house within 2 days (for free!!)
So what are you waiting for?
Order HERE and get ready to nuzzle with a glass of milk.

Weekend Wants

Apparently California is experiencing the worst storm in 4 years.
I, for one, absolutely love this weather.
It's perfect for getting cozy under a furry blanket,
but to be honest,
I don't mind hitting the streets and playing in the rain either.
It's all about being prepared,
so here are my top picks to beat the rainy day blues.

One: Burberry is known for their classic trenches. I love the pop of color on this one.

Two: My hair gets a little cray cray with all this moisture. This Rag & Bone fedora is perfect for keeping the tresses tamed.

Three: This Louis Vuitton scarf is cozy as can be. I have the same one in grey, and I swear I have been living in it lately.

Four: I'm obsessed with all Celine handbags. This cute little crossbody is great for running errands.

Five: While most rain boots tend to be on the clunky side, these Gucci ones look so chic! Hard to believe they're made out of rubber.

Six: And of course, you can't brave the rain without a proper umbrella! Keep it classic with this lovely one from Chanel
