Pa-Pa-Pa-Pasadena

Pasadena - what a charming little town. I was very pleased to have had the chance to spend a whole weekend there while the IMATS was in town. Pasadena is best known as the host of the annual Tournament of Roses Parade and the Rose Bowl football games, but it also boasts numerous cultural amenities, fine restaurants and top retailers. I loved all the brick buildings and neatly trimmed lawns. Just another gem in the midst of Southern California. Gosh, how I love my home state.

IMATS!

I spent the past weekend in Pasadena, attending the International Make-Up Artist Trade Show (IMATS), make-up world's biggest gathering. It was this girlie-girl's dream come true - a place where thousands of make-up artists, vendors and enthusiasts discuss, display and collect the best the industry has to offer. I had a chance to sit in on some awesome classes and demonstrations, stock-up on tons of discounted make-up, and socialize with numerous industry professionals, as well as fellow bloggers. Here are just a few photos to summarize my experience. Did any of you attend IMATS this year? What did you think?

{cute and weird at the same time, right?}

Whisknladle

Happy Hour. Typically my favorite hour of the day. What's not to love? You get off work and have a few cocktails.. throw in a few appetizers and some of my favorite girlfriends, and it's officially a party. Last night the girls and I dropped into Whisknladle for a few pitchers of sangria, and some mouth-watering tapas. Their happy hour selection is pretty legit - seven days a week, from 5-7, you can feast on an assortment of Mediterranean tapas for only $3.50 each, $20 pitchers of sangria, and 25% off all bottles of wine. Awesome, right?

Happy Friday ya'll! I'm getting geared up to head off to L.A. for IMATS today, and I'm suuuuuper excited! I'll report back in a few days, so stay tuned.
