Flashbacks - Spain Part I

My obsession with traveling began at an early age, back when I lived in Russia with my parents, and had the privilege of tagging along with them while they frolicked all around Europe for business and pleasure. A lot has changed since then, but there is one thing that remains constant - I'm happy to say that my desire to discover new places hasn't diminished one bit. I often get asked what my favorite place to travel to is. What a hard question to answer! All of the places that I have visited so far are so different... each one is lovely in its own unique way. I suppose that if I really had to choose though, Spain would be among my top three. The hubby and I have visited Spain twice in the past two years. It was during our first visit there, back in 2009, that we truly fell in love with this beautiful country. I love looking back at old photographs from our trips, reliving all the memories of our time abroad. As usual, I took hundreds and hundreds of photos there, and as I was taking a little trip down memory lane this morning, I thought it would be neat to share some of them with you. So, without further ado, here are some photos from our time in Madrid, as well as a quick day-trip to Toledo.

A few lessons learned since 2009: 1) don't use the date option on your digital camera, it kind of ruins photos, and 2) you don't have to be in each and every single photo, landscape shots without me in them work just fine. Stay tuned for Part II - Barcelona!
